In the aftermath of the second deadliest storm in US history, Hurricane Maria left Puerto Rico’s infrastructure utterly wasted. From literal darkness emerged an overwhelming movement of bonding and community. Puerto Ricans became stronger than the storm that devastated their homes. In the midst of an island-wide blackout, emerged an overwhelming sense of community as Puerto Ricans united to become stronger than the storm the devastated their homes.
